Abstract:

In this talk, we present our simulation results of the effects of size nonuniformity on the optical transition of ensembles of the vertical lens-shaped circular quantum dots. UsingGaussian distribution of the dot size, we are able to simulate the inhomogeneous broadening of the average intensity of the optical transitions of the dot’s ensemble at different temperatures. Our simulation results show qualitative agreement with the experimental observations.
